Abstract :
New attention is given to electron magnetic resonance following development at high frequency (HF). Continuous wave spectroscopy is nowadays performed up to 1 THz. There is interest in developing time domain machines and methodology for HF EMR and HF EMR/NMR spectroscopies. We review recent data in THz magneto-optic, describe the conceptual design of a FEL based spectrometer in the 100 to 1,000 GHz range, and discuss potential applications in physics, chemistry, and biology.
