Abstract
Wide-spectrum, high-power quantum dot superluminescent diodes emitting at 1.3 μm are demonstrated. A new reproducible way of broadening the gain spectrum is proposed leading to 120 nm spectral bandwidth. L-I, spectra and degrees of coherence are presented.
