            Abstract : 
Stable, 60 W average power, single-mode CW generation in the spectral range 1800-2050 nm in linear-polarization format is achieved in Tm-doped fibre pumped at 1567 nm. Polarization extinction ratios in excess of 23 dB are demonstrated.
