Abstract :
We demonstrate four-wave mixing to achieve C-band wavelength conversion in ultrasmall SOI waveguides. This work exploits silicon´s large Raman χ(3) to further achieve active on-chip functionality. Initial experiments are compared with theoretical calculations.
