            Abstract :
Design, fabrication and characterisation of GaAs/AIGaAs passive polarisation converters realised through the use of three novel approaches is reported. The devices have been tested at λ=0.9μm and 1.3μm, producing TE-TM conversion efficiencies up to 70%.
