Abstract
A valuable method for the dynamic performance analysis of the permanent magnetic brushless DC motor in the shipping propulsion system is put forward on the base of the equivalent magnetic network model. The non-sinusoidal characteristic and core saturation effect can be taken into account easily. The starting process is simulated and validated by experiment. The precision of this proposed method is superior to the general equivalent circuit method, and the computing time is also accepted for the repetitious calculation.
