Abstract :
Following various accident recommendations, HSBC Rail took the initiative to build a coach roll over rig to enable research. The rig has been used for training and to develop and compare emergency lighting and Egress methods. The facility financed by HSBC Rail has come to the end of its life, and now the concept has been proven, the UK Railway Industry needs to agree on a permanent facility.
