Abstract :
A new type of GeO2/SiO2 NZ-DSF with an attenuation loss of 0.174 dB/km, a dispersion slope of ∼0.06 ps/nm2/km and an Aeff of ∼70 μm2 at 1.55 μm have successfully been developed. Holey fiber designs offering reduced dispersion slopes for similar Aeffs are also reported.
