Abstract :
We successfully fabricated a very compact 16-channel 200 GHz-spacing transmitter module for WDM-PON OLT source. The transmitters are composed of reflection gratings and hybridly integrated reflective SOAs (RSOAs) to construct 16-channel external cavity lasers(ECLs) on the PLC chip. This module operates successfully with a total throughput of 1.25 Gbit/s over 20 km transmission.
