Abstract
Novel waveguide connectors were demonstrated. Fabricated connectors feature three-dimensional waveguide arrays with two-dimensionally integrated optical I/Os and compatibility with surface mount technologies. Using Tx and Rx connectors, 10-Gbps/ch transmission performances were successfully obtained.
