            Abstract : 
We demonstrate a simple PMD-insensitive DOP-based OSNR monitoring technique aided by transmitter-side polarization scrambling. At OSNR =25 dB, OSNR monitoring with about 1-dB standard deviation was achieved in 10-Gb/s NRZ-OOK systems with DGD of 0-80 ps.
