Abstract :
Intra-cavity propagation delay is investigated in a system of four chaotic semiconductor lasers coupled in a cascaded configuration. It is found that intra-cavity propagation delay is cumulative in nature with an increase in the number of cascading lasers. Laser injection ratio, frequency detuning, linewidth enhancement factor, and lasers´ internal cavity round-trip time are found to significantly influence this delay.
