Abstract :
Two duobinary 10 Gbit/s data streams and a QPSK modulator allow to generate 20 Gbit/s quaternary intensity modulation having ∼6 GHz bandwidth. Sensitivity, chromatic dispersion (CD), and PMD tolerance of this novel scheme are -21.5 dBm, -20...+140 ps/nm and 20 ps, respectively.
