Abstract
A simplified high-resolution all-optical analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion is investigated. The feasibility of proposed split-and-delay technique using a cascade single nonlinear fiber-optic switch for quantizing and encoding is experimentally demonstrated for 3-bit A/D conversion at 10GS/s.
