Abstract :
The neutron backscattering (NBS) technique is a well-established method to find hydrogen in objects. The intention of the tests described in this paper is to establish the possibility of using a NBS device to `see´ explosives hidden in buildings, in this case behind a wall. Depending on the type of the wall and the size of the explosive device, measurement times are of the order of seconds
