Abstract :
This paper deals with the evolution and the current state of digital simulation in Russia. The emphasis is on logic simulation and fault simulation of digital units, such as ASICs and PCBs. Both theoretical investigations and their practical implementations are described. An overview of models, methods and techniques in use is presented. Simulation systems, including their architectures, capabilities, interfaces, and utilization in design practice, are discussed in detail.
