Abstract :
By optimising the design of a silica waveguide Mach-Zehnder interferometer with a thermo-optic phase shifter, the switch characteristics were improved. Fabricated 8-arrayed 1times8 switches exhibited a high extinction ratio without optical length adjustment after fabrication
