            Abstract : 
We show that legacy 50 mum multimode fibre lengths up to 3 km maintain polarisation orthogonality across the C-band with circularly-polarised single-mode fibre centre-launched signals. Optical extinction ratios >12 dB were obtained for simultaneous 3 Gb/s and 5 Gb/s data-streams
