Abstract :
We successfully fabricated a very compact hybrid integrated multiwavelength laser module with a 40-Gbit/s throughput, which consists of four directly modulated distributed feedback laser diodes and an arrayed-waveguide grating multiplexer by using a silica-based planar lightwave circuit with a super-high refractive index difference of 1.5%
