Abstract
In this letter, we present a new methodology for measuring the bistatic ground scattering coefficient σ0 at large bistatic angles and in the near field of a rough surface. To filter out unwanted radar returns, out-gating from bistatic inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging is performed for the area of interest. Comparisons are made with a near-field compensated advanced integral equation method model.
