We demonstrate a new filter based on slanted Bragg grating (SBG) technology to flatten the gain of erbium doped fibre amplifier. 0.22 dB gain excursion with below ~30 dB of in-band back-reflection and below 0.05 dB of polarisation dependent loss have been obtained over 36 nm
