Abstract
This article reports our activities in a UWB research and development consortium organized by the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Japan. We fabricated UWB RF front-end MMICs using 180nm CMOS technology for both of the multiband system and the impulse radio system. Three types of UWB transceivers were realized using the MMICs. We also demonstrated a real-time video transmission system for UWB application.
