Abstract :
This work comprises a theoretical analysis, of the electromagnetic fields radiated by an ERB (cellular base station) in the city of Curitiba-Brazil. Computational simulations are made using the Friis transmission equation to calculate the radiated power density for every 3D point in the space. Simulations of radiated power are performed and measurements validated these simulations. Finally, these results are confronted with the established international regulations for electromagnetic human exposure (ICNIRP). Values of power density obtained in this work were 50dB below the limits presented by ICNIRP standards.
