Abstract :
This paper presents a novel method to solve both the scattering and radiation problems in the presence of the multilayered anisotropic spheres. A set of modified spherical vector wave functions (VWFs) is formulated and the fields can thus be expressed in terms of these VWFs. Based on those modified VWFs, dyadic Green´s functions (DGFs) are constructed for radially stratified anisotropic spheres. With those associated scattering coefficients obtained by applying boundary conditions at each interface, the fields can be represented with arbitrary source locations. The effects of anisotropy on RCS are considered for absorbing spheres and the dependence of RCS on single and joint anisotropy are studied by using the current method.
