Abstract :
An improved spiral compact microstrip resonant cell (SCMRC) resonator with capacitive loading is presented. The port impedance at low-pass band is matched to 50 Ω using two capacitive loadings. The improved SCMRC resonator shows stronger slow-wave effect and wider stop-band performance compared with original one. A demonstration resonator is designed, fabricated and measured.
