Abstract
Miniature inductors are crucial components for radio frequency integrated circuits. The widely-used on-chip inductors have been designed and investigated to obtain a high performance component. In this paper, two structures of on-chip solenoid inductors for the same fabrication process have been presented to design practical inductors. These inductors with different geometry were analyzed to realize properties of these inductors. The results show that the on-chip solenoid inductors with different structure can achieve high performance or prevent influence of external magnetic fields generated by nearby components in high frequencies circuits.
