Abstract :
Firstly, electromagnetic field analysis of one kind of uniaxial-anisotropic dielectric ring loaded cylindrical cavities is performed. When it is TE mode, only the relative permittivity perpendicular to the c-axis affects the field. This result simplifies the analysis and numerical computation of the microwave cavity in hydrogen maser. Secondly, electromagnetic field analysis of composite uniaxial-anisotropic dielectric ring loaded cylindrical cavities is performed. By the relation of radial wavenumber of two layered dielectric and the continuity of the fields, the transcendental equations are derived. When the relative permittivities of two kind of dielectric are same, these equations are same with the characteristic equations with only one kind of dielectric. The smaller temperature coefficient of H-maser microwave cavity can be determined from resonant frequency computed from these equations if we select appropriate thickness of dielectric.
