Abstract :
A FEM-based fast algorithm is proposed for the computation of high-order modes in dielectric-loaded waveguides in this paper. Numerical examples show that this algorithm requires greatly less memory and has significantly higher efficiency than the previous algorithms. The eigenmodes of the interior-coated waveguide are computed in the paper.
