Abstract :
A Ka-band single balanced Schottky-barrier diode (SBD) mixer has been designed and fabricated. An analyzed method to rat-race hybrid is introduced and testified by EM simulation. Lower LO power as better conversion loss is particularly considered in designing of mixer. When LO signal with the power of 9dBm at 36.5GHz is injected, a conversion loss of 7dB is obtained. LO to IF and RF to IF isolations of 40.5 dB and 31dB are obtained respectively.
