Abstract :
This paper gives simple CAD formulas of a microstrip line on lossy substrate by synthetic asymptotes. From the derived formula, the equivalent circuit is a fringe capacitor in parallel with an parallel plate capacitor with a complex permittivity. Compared with numerical results, the average error is less than 20%.
