Abstract
A new approximate technique - local iteration technique is combined into the multilevel fast inhomogeneous plane wave algorithm (MLFIPWA), to solve scattering from cylinder structures more efficiently. The spectrum integration of the Hankel function and grouping technique is used in MLFIPWA to translate the direct source and field coupling into aggregation, translation and disaggregation, to accelerate the matrix-vector multiplication, and the computation complexity is O(N43/). By applying a multilevel strategy, this complexity can be reduced to O(N log N). According to the iteration error, a proper implementation of local iteration technique can further speed up the matrix-vector multiplication.
