Abstract :
In this study, the novel spectral acceleration (NSA) algorithm is incorporated with the forward-backward (FB) method, which is an iterative method of moments (MM), to solve capacitance extraction problems, called the forward-backward with the novel spectral acceleration algorithm (FB/NSA). The method is found to be an O(N) algorithm for both CPU time per iteration and memory requirements, where N is the total number of unknowns. In addition, the FB/NSA method provides reasonably accurate results with less CPU time, compared to the FB method, for relatively large problems.
