            Abstract : 
The EBG based TEM waveguide is directly connected to a standard rectangular waveguide. The reflection and transmission characteristics have been numerically calculated. Simulated results show that the transmission is good. So a simple structure to feed the EBG based TEM waveguide is obtained. And the rectangular waveguide could be feed easily by a common coaxial line.
