Abstract :
FDTD method with 2TDLM is used to simulate the electromagnetic wave propagation around and inside the 2D negative refractive index material slab. A parallel-sided slab of the medium illuminated with a monochromatic source is shown to produce a focus on the far side. TM mode and TE mode are separately analyzed. Different characteristics can be seen from the results.
