Abstract :
In this paper, we proposed two types of antennas, planar fat monopole antenna and rolled fat monopole antenna for UWB system. The rolled fat monopole antenna is designed to reduce the size of the planar fat monopole antenna and two antennas are compared. The proposed antennas have the omni-directional pattern in azimuth. They satisfy 3.1 GHz∼7.8 band GHz for VSWR <2, using the tapered radiator and partial ground plane.
