Abstract :
The novel and simple design of a modified T-shaped planar monopole antenna for wireless communication applications is proposed. The asymmetric two horizontal strips of the antenna lead to the lower and upper resonant modes, which can provide sufficient impedance bandwidths covering the 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless local area network (WLAN) bands with the definition of 2:1 VSWR.
