Abstract :
An original design of a defected ground microwave wideband filter is presented. The filter is composed of parallel-coupled microstrip resonators on the topside of a dielectric substrate and an aperture on the bottom side under resonators. An aperture is used for significant increasing of the coupling coefficient between resonators. The filter is designed with 3-dB bandwidth of 88% at the central frequency 3 GHz, without spurious response up to 10GHz. The simulation and measured results are presented.
