Abstract
In order to characterize the moisture of material samples in a leaky, rotating cavity without influencing the process, use was made of microwave techniques to determine the amount of water within the cavity. Moisture measurements where done before and during rotation of the cavity. The extraction of the humidity has been carried out using a mode tracking algorithm as well as a classification algorithm based on a maximum likelihood approach.
