Abstract :
The connection between conceptual theories of knowledge and mathematical models of intellect is essential to expedite progress toward understanding the fundamental limitations of current mind representations. This kind of remarks find special motivations when applied in the research field of artificial learning system development. The basic issue regarding the emulation of human capabilities, in fact, exceeds the scope of computer science investigation. In this paper we investigate the application feasibility of hybrid systems in meta-learning contexts from an epistemological perspective. Our analysis is finalised to the definition of a meta-learning framework (the MINDFUL system), whose introductory presentation is reported in the article
