Abstract :
This paper summarises the customer´s specification requirements, design aspects, filter configuration and special features of AC harmonic filters for Konti-Skan 1 Refurbishment HVDC project, which will be connected to the 400 kV busbars at Vester Hassing substation in Denmark, and at Lindome substation in Sweden. Study models for the harmonic performance, steady state and transient rating, are described in detail with the key data reproduced. The AC filters are robustly designed and rated in accordance with the customer´s technical specification, especially with those filters at Vester Hassing, as they will be operated in coordination with the existing AC filters of Konti-Skan Pole 2 at the same substation.
