Abstract
In this paper, in order to realize the consecutive long-term operations of sensor networks, we propose a novel sustainable sensor network routing protocol considering easy node exchangeability. In the proposed routing protocol, in order to exchange nodes easily, power consumption of nodes is biased intentionally. We focus on a routing protocol for the sustainable sensor networks. In the proposed routing protocol, the power consumption of nodes in a specific zone becomes larger than that in other zones. The battery of nodes in the specific zone is emptied earlier. As restricting the geographical area of the node exchange, node exchangeability improves. We evaluate the proposed routing protocol by means of computer simulations to show the effectiveness of the proposed routing protocol
