Abstract :
This paper addresses the problem of designing a linear precoder for differential space-time coded communication systems in spatially correlated Rayleigh fading channels. Based on the pairwise error probability upper bound of the differential space-time modulation (DSTM) scheme, we derive a precoder that can exploit the spatial correlation of the channels. Simulation results illustrate that a significant performance gain can be achieved by using the designed precoder
