Abstract
The watermarking technique was born to cure to the problem of copyright protection and document authentication (Barni et al., 2001). The watermarking was first applied to the multimedia images, and then it has been spread to the remote sensed images for the same aim of ownership protection. In the remote sensing images the needs for protection is the same but the watermarking should also respect the applications theses images are dedicated to. In this paper we propose a new DWT based algorithm that answers to the compromise good watermark detection/low RMSE and low error classification. Additionally, our algorithm is also seen to be robust in the face of cropping attacks and image filtering algorithm like anisotropic diffusion
