A Fast Halftoning Algorithm using LUT Approach for Grey-level Images

The process of halftoning is usually computationally expensive and algorithms that speed up this process are often desired. This proposes a novel technique in an attempt to improve the speed of the algorithm initially proposed by Murat´s and Vaidaynatan. In addition our propose technique is extended to operate on grey-level images halftoning using look up table technique. The results obtained have been assessed and have clearly shown that our proposed algorithm performs favourably in terms of speed
