Abstract :
In this paper, an algorithm is proposed to recognize faces with illumination variation. First the reflectance at every point is estimated by symmetry on face from two images in different known illumination. Then face images in different illumination are generated by the reflectance. Finally, face recognition is implemented by comparing the similarity between test image and generated images. Experimental results from Yale face database B confirm the efficiency of our algorithm
