Abstract :
For the purpose of power system safety and reliability, conductor maintenance and design, mechanical properties of ACSR have been intensively discussed and studied through a sample conductor. The variations of strain and sag with current, service of time, and actual daily load demands are computed using a novel iterative procedure implemented in a Visual C++ software package, and predicted with an effective artificial neural network model validated by both visual comparison and statistical analysis
