Abstract
The article discusses the application of system identification technology to build model of hydraulic automatic gauge control system (AGC) in 300 four-high mill, because it is hard to acquire the accurate value of some parameters by analyzing the mechanical method. By comparing and analyzing the identified results, the identification model proves to be feasible and creditable. It might establish a foundation for system design, control characteristic analyzing and optimum control
