Abstract :
We present new accurate packet error rate analysis of unslotted direct sequence spread spectrum packet communication systems in slow Rayleigh fading environments. Based on the accurate Improved Gaussian Approximation, we introduce a new technique that leads to accurate and efficiently computable expressions for packet error rates that account for bit-to-bit error dependence. These new results facilitate accurate computation of the throughput performance of CDMA-based Unslotted ALOHA local radio networks.
