Abstract :
This paper deals with the use of an extended Kalman filter (EKF) for the temperature observation of an induction starter generator. At first, we remind considerations about temperature supervision. Then we present a classical method based on a parameter observer. Problems encountered with such an observer are presented in the framework of our application. To overcome these problems we propose a second observer extended to temperature variation using a priori knowledge on parameters evolution model. Experimental results are presented and commented in the last section
