Abstract :
Within the framework of the HiConPV project (European Commission, Framework 6), we present preliminary results of I-V curve measurements that are being performed on a trial dense-array CPV module under natural sunlight conditions at various concentrations up to 1000X. This module, approximately 10 cmtimes10 cm, will be tiled with 24 GaAs "MIM" chips with a total nominal power rating of 1.8 kWp at 1,000X. However, for the present tests a single string of 4 series-connected MIMs was employed. For illumination we used PETAL, the 400 m2 parabolic dish concentrator at Sede Boqer, covering its mirror panels according to the degree of concentration needed
